Preferred candidates bring expertise in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating various speech, language, and communication disorders. Whether you are an SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA with school-based experience, your specialized skills will help students thrive academically and socially. The collaborative environment is ideal for professionals eager to partner with educational teams and families.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active North Carolina SLP license
- North Carolina DPI Special Service Personnel School SLP Credential
- Experience working within schools as SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLPA
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to provide supportive, evidence-based interventions
- Flexibility to address the needs of diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech/language screenings and thorough assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Deliver direct and indirect services to students in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and caregivers to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate and timely progress notes and reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions
- Educate staff and families on strategies to promote language development
