Job Description
Make a meaningful impact supporting K-12 students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This onsite, full-time contract position runs from now through the end of the school year. You'll work closely with a diverse caseload, helping students enhance their communication and language abilities, in a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid MI SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience working with K-12 students strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students in grades K-12
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other specialists to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and IEP documentation within required timeframes
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and ongoing professional development activities
- Provide consultation and support to educators regarding strategies for student success
