Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work in person with elementary-aged students (K5) through the remainder of the school year. Based near Marquette, MI, this full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week, with consideration for part-time applicants who may be seeking a more flexible schedule.

Key qualifications and experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Current SLP licensure (or eligibility) in the state of Michigan
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows considered
  • Experience providing individualized and group speech and language therapy to K5 students
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with IEP development and implementation, as well as progress monitoring
  • Passion for supporting the diverse needs of elementary students

Primary responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, screenings, and assessments for students in grades K5
  • Deliver engaging, evidence-based therapy to address a range of communication disorders
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to support students success
  • Maintain accurate documentation and provide progress updates
  • Participate in school-based meetings and professional development as needed
