Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in the school setting near Mansfield, TX. This full-time, full school year position will primarily serve an itinerant caseload, providing valuable services across multiple sites. School-based SLP experience is essential, as youll play a key role in enhancing communication skills and academic success for students.
Bring your expertise to a supportive special education team, where your commitment will make a daily impact for children and educators. Those holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply. While prior experience in school environments is necessary, there is also some flexibility to mentor Clinical Fellows. Please note virtual-only placements are not available for this assignment.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience as an SLP in schools required
- Familiarity with itinerant service models is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary school teams
- Comfort pitching in as needed with supervising Clinical Fellows
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of students
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and participate in eligibility meetings
- Travel between school sites as needed for itinerant coverage
- Consult and communicate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student progress
- Maintain documentation and adhere to state and district compliance standards
