Candidates with a strong background in California schools, particularly those familiar with SEIS, will thrive in this position. Youll manage diverse caseloads at the elementary level, with the potential for SLPA support, and utilize your expertise to guide students toward greater academic and social success.
Qualifications:
- Holds a current SLP-CCC or eligibility as a Clinical Fellow; experience supervising SLPAs with facilitators preferred
- Minimum of two years' experience working in California schools
- At least one year utilizing SEIS for documentation and case management
- Skilled in managing substantial caseloads and new referrals efficiently and compassionately
- Open to both monolingual and bilingual SLPs; SLPAs are not eligible
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized therapy to students, addressing a variety of speech and language needs
- Supervise SLPAs when appropriate, ensuring fidelity of service and student progress
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate documentation in SEIS
- Collaborate effectively with facilitators, educators, and families to support student achievement
- Manage a caseload of approximately 6065 students, with the majority in elementary grades and 2530 speech-only cases
