A contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working in a school setting located in Macon, GA. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting students communication development and fostering their academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to ensure cohesive student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
- Provide ongoing consultation and support to classroom teachers regarding speech and language strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an SLP in Georgia
- Experience evaluating and treating pediatric speech and language disorders in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of educational intervention methods and IEP development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and adhere to school schedules and policies
