Job Description

Make a lasting impact as a Speech Language Pathologist working onsite to support K-12 students in an engaging school environment near Machesney Park, IL. This contract position provides an opportunity to collaborate with educators and families to promote communication and academic success for students across grade levels. Youll work 37.5 hours per week as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team that values your expertise.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Language endorsement
  • Illinois State License (IDFPR) required
  • Open to both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CF-SLPs)
  • Current knowledge of best practices for school-based speech therapy
  • Strong organization and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic evaluations and therapy services to K-12 students
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Document student progress and collaborate with IEP teams
  • Facilitate effective communication among students with speech and language needs
  • Offer consultation and support to teachers and caregivers
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
