Step into a rewarding role making a lasting impact in education as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work onsite in a vibrant, supportive educational setting, providing vital services to students at both elementary and secondary levels.
Your expertise will be invaluable as you support a diverse caseloadsecondary caseloads average 45 students and elementary caseloads around 42. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families to help students achieve their fullest communication potential throughout the school year, from August 31, 2026, through June 17, 2027.
Qualifications and Licensure:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Washington State SLP license (WA SLP License) required
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) credential required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Prior experience in a school setting strongly desired
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Commitment to culturally competent, student-centered practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and deliver individualized therapy plans in collaboration with IEP teams
- Maintain thorough documentation and reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Encourage and educate families and teachers regarding supportive strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and ongoing professional development
- Foster an inclusive, positive learning environment for all students
