Exciting opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide contract services in a supportive school environment near Lutcher, LA. This assignment focuses on working with PreK to 3rd grade students, including a Head Start class, all based within a single campus for easy access and strong continuity of care. The schedule is part-time, with approximately 10 hours per week, offering a flexible contract running through late May 2026.
Your expertise will support students through individualized education programs, collaborating with school staff while maintaining a manageable caseload. The district utilizes a straightforward IEP system with training provided, so new team members can get up to speed quickly. There is dedicated therapy space, ensuring a productive environment for work with students.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- State licensure and credentials required for Speech-Language Pathologists
- Previous school-based SLP experience welcome, but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for PreK-3rd grade students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans and contribute to IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate records and collaborate with teachers and administrators
- Offer support for inclusion and classroom participation
- Participate in paid team meetings and indirect hours, as required
