Job Description

Step into a fulfilling role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with a close-knit ASD PreK classroom. This full-time, contract opportunity takes place in a welcoming setting near Somerville, MA, working with a small group of 68 students. Your expertise will help shape early communication skills and foster development in children with autism spectrum disorder.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid SLP licensure in Massachusetts
  • Prior experience with pediatric populations, particularly in school-based or ASD settings
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and ability to deliver targeted speech therapy interventions
  • Comfortable collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy, assessments, and evaluations for PreK students on the autism spectrum
  • Develop and implement individualized goals and treatment plans
  • Document progress meticulously and participate in IEP meetings
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and classroom staff for integrated support
  • Guide teachers and families with practical strategies for day-to-day communication
  • Maintain a nurturing, inclusive environment for every child
