Make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a rewarding contract opportunity close to Somerville and Lowell, MA. This full-time position focuses on supporting a small group of 6-8 students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a PreK setting. The workday is from 7:45 am to 1:30 pm, providing ample time for collaboration, planning, and fostering young learners communication skills and developmental progress.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid (or eligibility for) state SLP licensure and ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP preferred)
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric and school-based speech therapy
- Previous work with children on the autism spectrum, especially in early childhood or PreK environments
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for PreK students with ASD
- Deliver direct speech therapy services in an inclusive, child-centered environment
- Collaborate closely with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to maximize student progress
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with school requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
