Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity to support elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a contract-to-hire capacity for the 2023-2024 school year. This role will have you working full-time across a diverse K-4 caseload, collaborating alongside dedicated educators and specialists. Your skills will be essential in helping young learners build their communication abilities and thrive both academically and socially.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Massachusetts
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
  • DESE certification required
  • Recent, direct school-based experience preferred
  • Full-time availability (37.5 hours per week)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in pediatric and school settings
  • Experience with a variety of disabilities within K-4 populations
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment and evidence-based therapy for students in grades K-4
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports
  • Support students' engagement and communication throughout the school day
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and district initiatives
  • Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of each child
