Qualifications and Experience:

• Holds an active New Mexico SLP license (required)
• Prior experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
• Proficiency in supporting preschool, elementary, middle, and high school students
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and parents
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Knowledge of state and federal guidelines governing speech/language services in schools

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students across grade levels
• Design, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs
• Lead therapy sessions one-on-one and in small groups, focusing on articulation, fluency, language, and social communication
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and update IEPs
• Communicate progress and strategies effectively with families and teaching staff
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation according to school and state regulations
• Provide guidance to staff on language and communication strategies within the classroom
