Job Description

This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers the opportunity to work onsite in a dynamic school setting in Los Lunas, NM, from ASAP through May 2026. The role involves providing specialized speech and language services to students ranging from PreK through 3rd grade, as well as middle school students in grades 7-8, and an additional elementary group spanning PreK to 6th grade. This contract position provides a supportive environment focusing on student communication development across multiple age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized speech and language therapy to students with diverse needs within elementary and middle school settings
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments to identify students communication challenges and progress
  • Document and maintain accurate records consistent with professional and district standards
  • Participate in meetings and professional development sessions as needed

Qualifications:

  • Current New Mexico Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) required
  • Preferred certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience working in school environments, especially with elementary and middle school student populations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students and school personnel
