Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid and current SLP license in California
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to diverse needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students with speech, language, or communication challenges using evidence-based procedures
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services, both individual and group, as specified in student IEPs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress, services provided, and assessment results
- Consult with teachers, parents, and support staff to enhance communication skills in classroom settings
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute insights for student success
- Support students of varied backgrounds and abilities with professional empathy
