Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must possess an active LSLS Cert. AVT credential (Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist).
  • Hold a state license in one of the following: Speech-Language Pathology (SLP, SLP-CCC), Audiology, or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH).
  • Demonstrated experience working with school-age children, especially in school settings.
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with educators and family members.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Offer a comprehensive assessment for Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) services to evaluate student needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic AVT services once a month for 60 minutes, providing direct support as outlined by assessment findings.
  • Communicate and collaborate with school staff and parents to optimize student progress in listening and spoken language development.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting on student goals, treatment sessions, and progress.
  • Comply with professional and ethical guidelines, maintaining active certifications and licenses throughout the contract period.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development as required by the role.
