A part-time position is available for a licensed professional holding the LSLS Cert. AVT (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist) certification to provide specialized services in a school setting in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist, Audiologist, or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing who meets state licensure requirements and holds the national LSLS Cert.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' need for Auditory-Verbal Therapy (AVT) services.
- Provide AVT services to students on a monthly basis, with sessions lasting approximately 60 minutes.
- Collaborate with school staff to support the auditory-verbal development of students.
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports to guide ongoing therapy decisions.
- Adhere to professional and ethical standards in delivering specialized auditory-verbal therapy.
Qualifications:
- Current state license in Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology, or Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
- National LSLS Cert. AVT certification is required.
- Experience with Auditory-Verbal Therapy in educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite at the school in Los Angeles, CA.
