Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve in an elementary school setting within a vibrant Los Angeles district for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time contract position runs from August 6, 2025, through June 12, 2026, focusing on a caseload model supporting students across grades K-12. The role offers a dynamic environment to provide direct and indirect therapy services, with paid administrative time and team meetings integrated into the schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations, develop, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs
  • Deliver therapy sessions in a dedicated space, supporting a diverse caseload of pediatric students
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student communication outcomes
  • Utilize district-approved IEP systems with training provided to ensure compliance and efficient documentation
  • Participate in regular paid team meetings and provide supervision as applicable

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current California Speech-Language Pathologist license (CA SLP License) required
  • Experience or credentials in pediatric SLP preferred, with familiarity in healthcare and educational settings
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome to apply
  • Ability to manage caseload effectively within a school-based setting
  • Willingness to undergo fingerprinting and meet district administrative requirements
