Located in Fullerton, CA, this contract position offers an opportunity for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support within a high school setting. The role begins in August and runs through December, with the potential to extend based on program needs. Candidates can explore full-time employment or part-time extended school year (ESY) work as available.
The position involves delivering speech therapy services to high school students with mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities, focusing on typical SLP duties tailored to the needs of this population. In addition to the primary assignment near Fullerton, the role includes providing services for a few hours each month at a Nonpublic School in Buena Park. The work schedule is from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, accommodating consistent therapy sessions within the school day.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings
- Familiarity with mild/moderate and moderate/severe disabilities
- ASL proficiency required to meet client needs
- Ability to perform standard SLP duties, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapy delivery
- Open to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates with relevant experience
