Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students near Long Beach, CA, as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, onsite role spans from ASAP through the end of the school year, making a lasting impact on the school community while working directly with a diverse student caseload.

Utilize your expertise across school-based, pediatric, and healthcare settings, supporting both established clinicians (CCC) and Clinical Fellows (CFY). Your knowledge in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders will empower students to reach their communication goals. Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to help students thrive academically and socially.

Qualifications:

  • Active SLPA licensure required
  • Experience with pediatric and school-based populations preferred
  • SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcomed
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in developing individualized treatment plans
  • Enthusiasm for supporting children with diverse needs in a collaborative, educational setting

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy to K-12 students
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members to optimize student outcomes
  • Maintain thorough records and document student progress
  • Support and mentor SLPA team members as needed
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and school-based activities
