Job Description

A school-based opportunity is available for a qualified Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist (LSLS Cert. AVT) located in Long Beach, CA. This part-time, onsite position offers direct involvement in providing specialized auditory-verbal therapy services within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to determine the need for ongoing Auditory Verbal Therapy (AVT) services for students.
  • Deliver AVT services to students 1 time per month for 60 minutes as determined by assessment results.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and families to support students' listening and spoken language development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with licensing and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Current LSLS Cert. AVT certification (Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapist).
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Audiologist, or Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) with valid state licensure.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in a school or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during site visits.

Location: Onsite position in Long Beach, California.

Schedule:

  • Part-time commitment, approximately 1 session per month, each lasting 60 minutes.
  • Contract duration through June 5, 2026.
