This contract position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who is passionate about working with children and supporting their communication development.
What Youll Bring:
- Valid licensure and certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school-based settings
- Strong knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy for children
- Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs
- Design and implement targeted therapy sessions tailored to individual and group needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student progress
- Maintain clear documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and evaluation results
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Educate and support teachers and caregivers in carrying over strategies for student success in everyday settings
