A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a school located in Lockport, NY. This contract position is scheduled to begin on February 2 and continue through the end of the academic year. The role requires three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, totaling 22.5 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in grades K-5 within a single school setting.
- Deliver therapy primarily through direct intervention while utilizing indirect hours for administrative and documentation purposes.
- Participate in paid team meetings and adhere to the districts caseload model.
- Utilize the districts IEP system with training provided.
- Engage with a caseload of students requiring speech-language support.
- May involve itinerant duties and compensated travel within the district.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current New York State SLP License is required.
- Experience with pediatric populations in school-based settings preferred.
- Familiarity with teletherapy is beneficial.
- Eligibility to provide CFY supervision or work as an SLP with CCC credentials is advantageous.
- Comfort working within a caseload model serving early childhood to elementary-age students.
