As a Contract Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric care, you'll bring your expertise to work with students, collaborating closely with educators and families to enhance learning outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
• Previous experience working with pediatric populations, especially in school-based settings
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and Medicaid documentation
• Proficiency in providing both individual and group therapy sessions
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to develop rapport with students, teachers, and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings to determine student speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students goals
• Provide direct therapy services to students with diverse communication disorders
• Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and offer recommendations
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in accordance with school and state requirements
• Educate staff and families on strategies to support communication skills at school and home
• Adapt techniques and interventions to best support student growth and participation
