Make a meaningful impact by providing essential speech-language services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support learners communication skills and academic growth in a vibrant school setting near Liberty, NY. You'll collaborate with a supportive educational team, tailoring therapy and interventions for a diverse caseload.
Key Qualifications:
- Current New York SLP license required
- Prior experience working with school-aged children, especially K-12
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure effective support and progress monitoring
- Maintain detailed documentation on student progress and compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight
- Offer consultation and resources to faculty for enhancing students communication skills within the classroom
