Step into an enriching contract opportunity supporting young learners in an onsite role within an Autism program. This full-time position runs from August 17, 2026, to September 4, 2026, providing a valuable maternity leave coverage. Working from 9am to 4:40pm Monday through Friday, you'll deliver essential speech-language pathology services at an elementary setting renowned for its collaborative spirit and dedication to student growth.
Your expertise will nurture communication development and positively impact students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Enjoy working alongside a multidisciplinary team, fostering social and academic achievement in an engaging, supportive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Current, active SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Recent experience in a school setting, ideally supporting Autism programs
- Strength in collaboration, compassion, and individualized treatment planning
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, design, and implement evidence-based speech and language interventions for students with Autism
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and family members to develop and monitor IEPs
- Document student progress and adjust plans to meet each childs unique needs
- Participate in school meetings and provide expertise on communication disorders
- Foster an inclusive, communicative classroom atmosphere, adapting strategies for diverse learners
