Step into an impactful contract role supporting students in the East and Southern parts of Davidson County. Were seeking four dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join schools in the area for the upcoming academic year. This full-time opportunity runs from August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering between 35 and 37.5 hours per week.
As a key member of the schools therapy team, youll collaborate with educators, families, and staff to deliver high-quality speech and language services. The district offers flexibility in caseload preference, with specifics discussed during interviews and caseloads capped at 35 students. District supervision is available for Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF), making this a fantastic environment for both experienced SLPs and those just launching their careers. Please note, SLPA credentials are not accepted at this time.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in North Carolina
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply
- Previous experience in K-12 schools is a plus
- Preferred background working with students with autism (AU) and significant cognitive disabilities
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering positive, inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language intervention and therapy to students
- Complete assessments, craft and implement individualized treatment plans
- Maintain thorough documentation for progress reporting and compliance
- Collaborate with teachers, school teams, and families to support student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
