Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of children and adolescents by providing speech-language pathology services in a dynamic K12 educational setting. This contract opportunity offers the chance to support students with a variety of mild to moderate general and special education needs, ranging from assessments and evaluations to developing and delivering targeted therapy sessions. You'll collaborate with a knowledgeable team, serving multiple schools across the area, with a flexible, supportive environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active Mississippi SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will also be considered
- Experience working with pediatric and school-based populations highly regarded
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms welcomed
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for K12 students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitoring progress and outcomes
- Deliver evidence-based direct therapy interventions to students with a variety of communication needs
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation as required by school and district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate professionally with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Adapt to multiple school sites as needed and support a diverse range of learners
