Job Description

A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available working with students in grades K-12 within a school setting in Lexington, MS. This role involves delivering comprehensive speech therapy services across a varied caseload of mild to moderate general and special education students. The position is ideal for candidates with credentials and experience in pediatrics, healthcare, teletherapy, or school-based SLP roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Provide direct, individualized speech therapy services aligned with student IEP goals
  • Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support student communication development
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services in compliance with state and district guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current Mississippi SLP License
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology or school-based settings strongly desired
  • Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery is beneficial
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families

This contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek, with start dates available as soon as possible. The school district serves multiple locations including Jackson, Rolling Fork, and Vicksburg, MS, providing a diverse and engaging work environment.
