Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist supporting elementary and middle school students. This contract role spans both individual and group therapy in school-based settings, offering meaningful impact as you foster communication skills for diverse learners. The assignment begins ASAP and extends through late May 2027, providing stability and the chance to build strong working relationships within the school community.
What You Bring:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license for Maryland (MD SLP License)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in school-based SLP roles preferred
- Skilled in implementing IEP services and delivering engaging therapeutic interventions
- Strong organizational skills to manage a caseload spanning an elementary and middle school site
- Positive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to partnering with teachers, staff, and families
Role Highlights:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students at both elementary and middle school locations
- Develop and implement treatment plans addressing receptive, expressive, and pragmatic needs
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and contribute to IEP report writing
- Collaborate with special education teams to ensure individualized supports are aligned for each student
- Communicate progress and recommendations clearly to families and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain all required documentation according to school and state guidelines
