Step into a dynamic school-based contract opportunity supporting middle and high school students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This position offers the flexibility of a part-time schedule in a collaborative educational environment, ideal for professionals seeking hands-on and consultative responsibilities. With a manageable caseload of around 30 students, the focus is primarily on indirect services, empowering you to make a difference through comprehensive care and support.
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (Kansas or eligible for transfer)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome
- Previous experience in school settings or pediatrics preferred
- Knowledge of teletherapy platforms and best practices for remote service delivery
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in multi-disciplinary team settings
- Passion for working with adolescent populations in educational environments
Role Highlights & Responsibilities:
- Provide both direct and indirect speech-language therapy services as outlined in individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Develop and implement evidence-based therapy plans for middle and high school students
- Consult with educators, families, and other service providers to optimize student outcomes
- Conduct assessments and documentation in compliance with school/district policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with the development of goals and progress reports
- Maintain timely and accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress
- Contribute expertise to a collaborative and student-centered team
