Job Description

This contract assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with both full-time (up to 37.5 hours/week) and potential part-time schedules available.

Key Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent required
  • Active Florida Department of Health SLP license or Florida teacher certification
  • School-based SLP experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Fingerprinting required; candidates must complete the necessary background checks and credentialing as outlined by the state and district protocols (including possible verification or transfer of existing prints and JLA badge issuance)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students
  • Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans according to IEP goals
  • Document student progress, maintain records in compliance with legal and district guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to maximize student outcomes
  • Serve multiple schools within the district, with assignments and caseload to be confirmed based on location
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to support student communication needs
