Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Lehigh Acres, FL (K-12 Schools)
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist opportunity is available for the current school year, supporting multiple K-12 school sites in the Lehigh Acres area. This contract position, running from ASAP to June 1, 2026, offers the chance to work onsite with diverse student populations across several locations within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations, screenings, and therapy services to students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Florida teacher certification and/or active Florida Department of Health SLP license.
- Completion of fingerprinting through AHCA Clearinghouse or ability to obtain a JLA badge.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in a school setting preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Work Schedule and Location:
- Full-time up to 37.5 hours per week, with potential part-time opportunities.
- On-site work required; positions are not eligible for remote work.
- Multiple school locations available, primarily in the East Zone of Lee County, including Lehigh Acres and surrounding areas.
