Job Description
Empower students to find their voices and reach their potential as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working in a supportive school-based environment. Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to create engaging communication strategies while making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, although strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Previous experience providing SLP services in a school or pediatric setting is desirable
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop IEP goals and deliver effective speech and language therapy
- Passion for working with diverse student populations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify speech, language, and communication disorders among students
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative speech and language therapy to students from diverse backgrounds
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and communication with families and team members
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and staff development initiatives
- Educate families and staff on speech-language strategies and student support techniques
- Adapt interventions based on student growth and changing needs throughout the school year
