Ideal Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Previous experience supporting pediatric populations, ideally in an educational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with various assessment tools, treatment techniques, and assistive technology for speech therapy.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct SLP services to students in accordance with IEP goals and school policies.
  • Conduct assessments to determine students speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to goal setting and progress evaluation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, sessions, and student outcomes.
  • Educate staff and families on speech and language development and strategies for support.
