Ideal Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state SLP license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Previous experience supporting pediatric populations, ideally in an educational environment.
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation practices.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with various assessment tools, treatment techniques, and assistive technology for speech therapy.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct SLP services to students in accordance with IEP goals and school policies.
- Conduct assessments to determine students speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to goal setting and progress evaluation.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of assessments, sessions, and student outcomes.
- Educate staff and families on speech and language development and strategies for support.
