Make an immediate impact as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school-based environment near Lapeer, MI. This contract opportunity welcomes credentialed SLPs as well as Clinical Fellows (CFYs) with an active Michigan license (CFYs must also hold a temporary license). The assignment runs through June 11, 2027, offering a chance to build relationships and foster communication growth among diverse student populations.
Your expertise will help students in urban and surrounding communitiesincluding Flint, Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroitovercome communication challenges and thrive in the classroom.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Michigan SLP license (temporary license required for CFYs)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with official university transcripts available
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly preferred; Clinical Fellows considered
- Experience in K-12 school settings or strong clinical background
- Onsite availability strongly preferred; highly skilled remote (VOCO) candidates may be considered
- Comfort supporting a wide range of student needs, including culturally and linguistically diverse populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery of speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide support and resources for students and their families
- Document progress and communicate effectively with staff and families
- Address challenges unique to urban school settings
