This full-time opportunity, based near Lansing, MI, runs from August 17, 2026 to November 20, 2026. Ideal candidates bring expertise and dedication to nurturing communication skills and fostering student success.
What you'll need to be considered:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license issued by the state of Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Recent school-based SLP experience, especially with elementary-aged students (K4th grade), strongly preferred
- Ability to start and maintain a full-time schedule (35 hours/week) throughout the assignment period
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and related service teams
- SLP-CFs are not eligible for this position
Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy for students with a range of speech and language disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with students needs and educational goals
- Conducting regular consultations with teachers and families, offering guidance and resources to support student progress
- Documenting services and maintaining compliance with school and state standards
- Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities
