Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in New York State
- Certification as CCC-SLP or eligibility for CFY considered
- Experience with school-based or pediatric caseloads preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group settings
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate, thorough records of treatment and outcomes
- Collaborate with educational teams to ensure comprehensive support for all students
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for continued growth
This assignment runs from July 6th through August 14th, with a weekly schedule of 27.5 hours (MondayFriday, 8:15am2:15pm). You will work onsite with an elementary caseload, providing hands-on therapy and support during this crucial period.
