Job Description

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license in Illinois
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates encouraged to apply
  • Previous pediatric and/or school-based experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal abilities
  • Skilled in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments
  • Comfortable with both in-person and digital documentation and reporting platforms

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to children from preschool through grade school
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
  • Develop personalized therapy plans tailored to individual student needs and IEP requirements
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student growth and advocate for support services
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and guidance on communication goals
  • Utilize a variety of materials and innovative strategies to engage diverse learners
