Step into a rewarding role supporting students communication and language development in a vibrant educational community near Lake Orion, MI! This part-time contract opportunity begins August 18th, 2026, and runs through June 11th, 2027perfect for professionals seeking meaningful, consistent work through the school year.
Youll collaborate with school staff and families, primarily servicing two elementary buildings. Your role will provide vital overflow support alongside a full-time SLP at Lynch and an 80% SLP at Schickler, ensuring every student receives needed speech-language services. The position is three days per week, with school hours from 8:44 AM to 3:40 PM, offering an ideal schedule for work-life balance.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
- School-based SLP experience preferred; strong understanding of IEP and IDEA processes
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Organized, flexible, and skilled at managing a dynamic caseload
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEP goals, and provide therapy, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate with educators and fellow SLPs to support student growth
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
- Engage with families and staff, sharing resources and strategies that enhance student progress
