Step into a dynamic school-based setting near Lake Mary, FL, where youll make a meaningful impact supporting students communication and language needs. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who are passionate about educational growth and collaborative work environments.
Your role will involve servicing specific schools: spend 4 days a week at Silver Sands Middle School in Port Orange, or rotate between Ormond Beach Elementary (3 days) and Pine Trail Elementary (1 day) in Ormond Beach. For this school year, Bachelor-level clinicians interested in teaching on a temporary certificate (not an SLPA license) are welcome at the elementary schools. At Silver Sands Middle, SLPsincluding Clinical Fellows (CFs) with supervisionare encouraged to apply.
Ideal qualifications include:
- Active FL SLP License; Clinical Certification (CCC) preferred, but open to strong candidates working toward full credentialing
- Prior school-based experience or a strong enthusiasm for working in educational environments
- Ability to develop and implement individualized IEP goals
- Team-player mentality with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Eagerness to support and supervise Clinical Fellows as needed
Your responsibilities will cover:
- Speech-language assessments, therapy, and progress monitoring for K-12 students
- Collaboration with teachers, parents, and support teams to foster students success
- Maintenance of clear and accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participation in IEP meetings and contribution to multidisciplinary planning
- Commitment to the 37.5-hour workweek during the school year
This position starts ASAP and continues through June 5th, 2026, with anticipated schedule changes in future years (expanding to a 5-day elementary assignment).
