Embark on an exciting contract opportunity supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This position serves TK5th grade, working onsite with students to help them reach their communication potential. Full-time hours (37.5 per week, Monday through Friday) ensure a consistent presence and robust support for your caseload.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Valid SLP CCC required; school-based experience preferred
- Comfortable working with TK5th grade students
- Demonstrated ability to provide the full scope of speech-language services: direct therapy, assessment/evaluation, and IEP responsibilities
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and families
- California CTC credential is not required but will be considered a plus
- Candidates who thrive in dynamic, student-centered environments encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to elementary students in an onsite setting
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to develop and track individual education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to ensure holistic student support
- Maintain accurate records and comply with required documentation in accordance with district guidelines
- Monitor student progress and adapt interventions as needed to meet evolving goals
- Participate in team meetings to support student transitions and services
