Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are sought for multiple school assignments in the Palm Desert, CA area for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. This travel opportunity involves providing essential speech and language services across several schools within the district, supporting students of varied ages and grade levels (specifics to be confirmed closer to the school year).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Deliver both direct and indirect speech-language services to students.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to optimize student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred; pediatric and healthcare-related SLP experience is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment procedures, therapeutic interventions, and IEP development.
  • Ability to manage a caseload across multiple schools effectively.
  • No district-provided supervision will be available; candidates must be independent practitioners.

  • Start Date: 2025-2026 academic school year
  • Average Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Caseload: Multiple schools within the district, final age groups to be determined
