This full-time contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to work with K-12 students in the greater La Quinta area. Your expertise will help students communicate more effectively and participate fully in their education.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid California SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting is preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Comfort working onsite and engaging with students, families, and educational staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and service goals in line with IEP requirements
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of K-12 students
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support student progress
- Monitor, record, and report student progress through documentation and meetings
- Offer guidance on augmentative communication, accommodations, and classroom strategies
