This contract opportunity is ideal for several skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) interested in serving students across multiple schools in the Palm Desert, CA area. The assignment is set to begin with the upcoming 2025-2026 school year and offers a full-time schedule averaging 37.5 hours per week. This position focuses on providing therapeutic services to school-aged children, with specific grade levels to be determined closer to the start of the school year.
Responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and delivering both direct and indirect speech-language services. Candidates should be experienced in managing a diverse caseload and familiar with educational settings. Please note that supervision from a para, RBT, CNA, or LPN will not be provided for this role.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or California Teaching Credential (CTC)
- Experience working in schools with pediatric populations
- Capable of performing comprehensive speech and language evaluations and developing IEPs
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff and families
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads efficiently across different school sites
