This role involves traveling to various educational institutions to provide essential speech and language support to students, helping them achieve their communication goals and succeed academically.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Implement therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to address speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students communication development.
- Maintain accurate records documenting student progress and comply with school and state regulations.
- Adapt services to meet diverse student populations and educational environments while traveling within the region.
Qualifications:
- State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings.
- Ability to travel regularly to multiple school locations within the Kissimmee area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school personnel.
- Familiarity with IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) and other relevant educational guidelines.
