Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Florida (or eligibility to obtain)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFYs are also welcome
- Previous experience with school-aged children highly desirable
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and design treatment plans for speech/language needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Provide direct and indirect therapy services, both individually and in groups
- Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other special education professionals
- Document student progress, prepare reports, and develop IEP goals as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in parent meetings and IEP conferences as needed
- Offer strategies and recommendations to classroom staff to enhance students' communication success
- Stay current with best practices and professional development opportunities
