Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Florida (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFYs are also welcome
  • Previous experience with school-aged children highly desirable
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and design treatment plans for speech/language needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
  • Provide direct and indirect therapy services, both individually and in groups
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, counselors, and other special education professionals
  • Document student progress, prepare reports, and develop IEP goals as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in parent meetings and IEP conferences as needed
  • Offer strategies and recommendations to classroom staff to enhance students' communication success
  • Stay current with best practices and professional development opportunities
