Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license for the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, clinical fellows (CFYs) encouraged to apply
- Experience or strong interest in working with pediatric populations in a school setting
- Proficient in assessment, diagnosis, and development of individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to identify students speech, language, voice, and fluency needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and challenges
- Provide direct therapy to students individually or in small group settings, adjusting techniques for a range of abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to support carryover of skills throughout the school day
- Document student progress, update records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Serve as a resource for faculty and parents regarding communication disorders and strategies for classroom success
