Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary-aged students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist. This full-time position (5 days per week) calls for a dedicated professional passionate about helping children ages 612 develop vital communication skills in a school-based setting. Youll engage in diverse clinical modalities ranging from direct onsite treatment to teletherapy, tailoring your approach to meet each child's unique needs and potential.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active NY SLP Certification/License required
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates considered
  • Previous experience in school-based, pediatric, or healthcare speech-language pathology roles
  • Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms for teletherapy delivery
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with educators, families, and other specialists

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) targeting communication and language goals
  • Deliver evidence-based therapy to children aged 612 within the school system, both in-person and via teletherapy as necessary
  • Maintain thorough documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and caregivers to promote carryover of skills
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development as needed
