Youll be part of a collaborative environment, utilizing your expertise in pediatric and school-based intervention, developing IEPs, delivering individualized and group therapy, and communicating progress with families and educational staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric and school (K-12) settings, especially with high school-aged students
- Familiarity with crafting and implementing IEPs
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse learning needs and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services tailored to high school students
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and document progress in accordance with state requirements
- Participate actively in IEP and team meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintain detailed records, ensuring compliance with district and legal guidelines
- Serve as a resource to teachers and staff, supporting communication strategies in the classroom
